Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich enjoyed a 2-0 win at home to his former employers Barcelona in Wednesday's friendly as the Spaniards only played their stars until the break.

Although Barcelona left new Brazil signing Neymar at home, first-team regulars Javier Mascherano, Adriano, Alex Song and Alexis Sanchez, plus Argentina's Lionel Messi played the first-half in Munich.

Liverpool Rejects Arsenal's £30m BID for Luis Suarez

Liverpool have rejected a reported £30 million offer from Arsenal for star striker Luis Suarez and remain adamant that they would not consider an offer for their top player from any Premier League rival clubs.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho sees Van Ginkel as a potential long-term replacement for long-serving Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, who is nearing the end of his playing career.

Chelsea extend partnership with adidas in a £300m deal

In a joint announcement from London yesterday, Chelsea and adidas announced the extension of their global partnership. The deal that was signed is the biggest in Chelsea’s history that will make adidas their official sportswear supplier for the next ten years.


Chelsea will now earn £30 million a year from this partnership – according to Daily Mail. adidas launched Chelsea’s 2013-14 home kit in April this year with the iconic “It’s blue, what else matters” campaign and it became the most successful club home kit launch ever.

Kagawa seals Reds move

Manchester United announced earlier this month that an agreement with Borussia Dortmund had been reached for the transfer of Shinji Kagawa for an undisclosed fee.



The 23-year-old Japanese midfielder has now passed a medical, obtained a UK work permit and has agreed a four-year contract commencing 1 July 2012.

Arsenal are lining up a £6million bid for the highly rated Croatian defender, Tin Jedvaj as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his squad in the summer, reports The Sun.


The 17-year-old Dinamo Zagreb defender is often touted as the ‘next big thing’ in Croatian football since midfielder Luka Modric and is already attracting attentions from several top clubs in Europe.

Serie A giants Roma had tried to lure the youngster few days back with a £5million offer, but it was rejected immediately.

Arsenal’s hope of signing central defender Ashley Williams from Swansea has hit a roadblock, with the Gunners reluctant to match his £10 million price tag.

Liverpool have confirmed that a deal has been agreed for Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas, who will become their second signing of the summer transfer window.

BREAKING - Lionel Messi could face up to six years in prison

Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi and his father are being investigated in Spain for allegedly defrauding the state of more than 4m euros (£3.4m).

The 25-year-old Argentina forward and his father, Jorge Horacio, are suspected of filing fraudulent tax returns for 2007-09, officials say.


His net annual salary at Barcelona is said to be 16m euros, making him one of the world's highest-paid athletes.
