The Telepathic Football challenge featuring Manchester United’s Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez

Earlier this month, Manchester United strikers Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez took part in bwin’s ‘Telepathic Football’ challenge, going up against the 1999 Man Utd’s strike pairing of Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole.

The concept is simple – do the current crop of United strikers have the near-telepathic understanding of Yorke and Cole? Let’s find out:


I never thought Yorke and Cole had that great a partnership to be honest (1999 was the peak but then almost everything went according to plan for United that year), but I do have high hopes for Rooney and Welbeck for next season – although Welbeck needs to work more on his target practice – you should be able to hit Rooney from that distance mate.
